History
McConnell Jones Lanier & Murphy LLP (MJLM) was formed in March 1999 via merger of an accounting firm (McConnell & Jones LLP founded in 1987) and a management consulting firm (Empirical Management Services founded in 1992).

MJLM is the merged entity with three affiliates, McConnell & Jones, MJLM Wealth Solutions, and MJLM Engineering & Technical Services.

1987
Wayne McConnell answered the entrepreneurial call and began McConnell & Company, a public accounting firm, building on his vast experiences in public accounting and industry.

1996
The partnership, McConnell & Jones LLP, Certified Public Accountants, was formed in 1996 with the addition of Thomas Jones as the partner in charge of the tax department. The firm's diverse client base included large and small corporations, small businesses, governmental and nonprofit institutions, and individuals.
